ABOUT ME

Welcome and thank you for visiting my work! My name is Jian Liu, a wedding and portrait photographer based in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. I owned the first digital camera in 2008 , I took up photography as a hobby and began shooting everything surrounding such as beautiful flowers, marvelous scene, and lovely animal etc. 

I really enjoy discovering the world through the camera. So I studies Digital Photography at Dawson College based in Montreal, Quebec, which has improved my photographic skills.Years later, I found my passion for wedding and portrait photography, I studies Wedding Photography and Studio Lighting at SAIT located in Calgary, Alberta to advance my professional level. 

Every candid scene and important event is a milestone that you will be able to reflect on. Photography is the best way to remember the beautiful, magical time you will have on your wonderful life. I love meeting passion people, capture their unique story and preserve those unforgettable moments. 

I also love outdoor activity, especially hiking and backpacking. I really enjoy Capturing the marvelous scenes on the earth.

My work in wedding and portrait photography is informed by my fine art training.

My style is laid-back, natural and always captivating.
My work uses natural light and a candid approach to create authentic, timeless images. I can handle off-camera lighting as well when under low-lighting scenes.
